Too many people prefer what goes on during transfer windows and pretending they have any idea how club finances work to what actually happens on the pitch. They don’t get what the sport is about at all.

It seems to be the in thing to be an armchair accountant these days.

I’ve never seen the attraction to it. I honestly think some people get off more on making a profit via trading players than seeing a new signing.

I get that money is a big part of football, but don’t try to tell me that it’s interesting. It’s as dull a subject as can be.
