Apologies if this is has already been covered. Been too busy reading the Judgement, fuming, reading it again and fuming some more to go through every page of the thread. Money "directly attributable to development of academy players" is allowable against P&R losses. All clubs pay a 4% transfer levy to cover player pensions. This is more than necessary, and what is left over goes to Youth Development. Accordingly, we claimed that 7.9 million of our losses should be ignored because this was the amount of our transfer levy that went to the kids. The Commission threw this out, saying it wasn't "directly attributable". Since there is no discretion on behalf of the clubs (they must pay 4%) nor any on behalf of the Premier League (they must pass on any surplus to Youth Development), the Commission are wrong. IMHO.
