Settling with the smaller claim whilst the big claim is ongoing is odd.

Basically admitting we are liable for their losses, making Burnley’s much bigger claim a slam dunk. Was only said the other day it was complicated and could drag on for a few weeks. Not anymore.

See what you're saying, but TFG would have been mad to take us over, knowing these unknown sums of money were owed to other clubs and TFG seem professional.
Which leads me to think this surely must have been agreed prior to them taking over, maybe that's why they pulled out of the deal originally only to come back a second time later. Didn't Moshiri lower the price down that could be why. A lot of speculation I know, just trying to make sense of it.
