He said there is no reason they could not be tried on a specific charge for PSR particularly that 3 year period, the reason they aren't is the Prem chose not to.

The Prem for what ever reason want to bundle together the 115 charges , this of course suits City & their Legal Eagles.

The way double jeopardy works is you are now in breach, therefore you are immediately in breach the following year, so you have to mitigate, if you haven’t budgeted for the charge from 22/23, then you could be in breach again in 23/24, very easily….

Thats not true.

Yes, they said we could deduct interest from loans we got for the Stadium, but then we deducted interest from loans we didnt get for the Stadium, hence the breach.

That does sound like fans on a forum chatting for long enough to find some way of making the situation sound better, and arriving at a story whereby the laws of accounting no longer apply and you can take a profit in 23/24 accounts, but use them to pass regulatory limits placed on 22/23 accounts.

If that does happen, every club that has ever sold a player quicker than they’d like to, before multiple clubs started competitive bidding, would blow the whole thing apart.

The Johnson profit will be great for your upcoming assessment ending in the 23/24 accounts and should ensure you don’t breach twice in a row, as we have. But you can’t randomly go to 88mph and pull profits back in time.
