How can he, as a lawyer, represent a person from Liverpool after saying all that?

He became a liability to his law firm and caused them huge embarrassment. And likely lost them business too.

If he was working on the till in Asda in Croydon, it would probably be a different situation. The fact he's a lawyer with a large public profile makes his position untenable.

When you're a high-flying lawyer and representing a global law firm, you can't go around calling several million potential customers 'scum' and other such grotesquely nasty terms.

Simple as that.

Nothing to do with a 'nanny state' or 'PC gone mad'.

He brought embarrassment to the company he works for. He's an utter fool, a ) for losing his temper to such a ridiculous OTT degree, and b ) for doing so in front of cameras that ensured he was seen around the world. Also c ) he carried on his diatribe on Twitter after the match. The man has issues. At the very least he has a shocking lack of common sense for someone clearly intelligent enough to be a lawyer.
