2025/26 Iliman Ndiaye

Its another case of us not having overlapping fullbacks causing us problems.

Both him and grealish need overlapping fullbacks to pull defenders away from them to create space.

As things stand both ndiaye and grealish (tbh any winger we play) are instantly doubled up on and it make it incredibly difficult for them to play their game.
Well, yeah, but it depends on the player.

For instance Grealish at City and Everton has seemed to want to hug the touchline, which means he needs a full back who's going to tuck inside and take a man with him to allow Grealish to be 1 v 1 out wide.

Ndiaye isn't that type of player and naturally wants to come inside so yeah, the lack of attacking, overlapping full backs has probably hindered him.

It's not necessarily true of all wide players though the way modern tactics have developed - sometimes it's about creating space in those wide areas for your wingers to isolate their defenders and beat them.

Can understand him wanting to leave. We look like a team that's far off European football under Moyes and Ndiaye will know better than most how short a career is considering the path and graft he's had to put in just to get to this level. At 26 he probably realises he needs to make a move sooner rather than later, kind of like Richy, if he wants a taste of CL football or trophies.

I'd be sad to see him leave as he's the one player that's brought me joy in recent years and he's superb at what he does but he is an asset that can pay for two or three players.

I reckon it will be a straight shootout between Villa & Arsenal for him, if they likely move on the likes of Martinelli, Jesus etc. Loves to stockpile a big squad Arteta and they had been a little flat offensively in the run in. I think he’d love a profile like Ndiaye there. No doubt, they’d look to flog players our way.
Hello Ben burnt orange and Gabriel Jesus-wept.

Welcome to the Everton retirement home.

Anyone know if he’s got a release clause and any idea what it is?

Bet it’s pathetic if there is one, maybe why he’s trying to light a fire and get his move?

No idea if he leaves or not.
If he wants to go fine, no way we get £70-80m like some shouts on here - hasn't got the pace/goals.
But if he does want to leave I do have some sympathy.
30-40% possession in most games, watching the keeper launch it over your head for most of the game and being moved out of your best position isn't ideal for a player like him.

Doubt it. If there was his agent would make sure everyone knew it.

Probably the only saving grace along with the 3 years left on his deal.

We wont accept anything less than 70 million

He is deffo going, shame as we haven't had a player like him for a long time.

I guess he is pissed with blocking passing lanes most of the games.

Dont blame him to be wanting out.

Absolutely acknowledge that Moyes is unlikely to take the club forward.

But let’s have it right, Illy stunk the place out in those last 7 games. Some absolutely horror performances. Where if he had done HIS job we’d have won some of those games.

If he thinks he’s too big for it, I’d [Poor language removed] him off. He ain’t that good. He only seems so good because his comparison is Dwight the [Poor language removed].
