2025/26 Iliman Ndiaye

Perhaps I’m just being naive but, unless finances force us to sell, I get the feeling he’d prefer to stay and help us win something.
Tbf I don't think too many of the top teams in the league will go for him, and teams abroad won't pay his value.

City are massively stocked in midfield (obviously they've never been shy of simply adding more, but hey), Liverpool is clearly a no-go, United are back amongst the big boys and will strengthen as usual though. Arsenal may fancy adding a bit of flair but they already have five wingers (Eze, Trossard, Martinelli, Madueke, Saka - although I guess they would see him as an improvement on at least two of them), and Chelsea have about 50 options in his position.

In any case he's in the prime of his career and will get player of the season for us. His price will be massive, easily in the 60-80 million range, and I don't think teams will pay that. We've seen already that we aren't going to be bullied on price for our top players anymore. He's happy and as long as he sees we're improving the squad around him, I doubt there's that big a gap between us and Champions League football next season.

I could sadly see a situation where Arsenal went in for a 'cheeky' 30 million plus Trossard bid for him, or City with a 30m plus Grealish, valuing their players far too highly and seeing if we fall for it.

All depends on how ambitious the owners are I suppose. So far not too ambitious, so that will need to change.

would signing grealish be wise when illy clearly plays better on the left
This is the conundrum.

Dibling really needs to show something if he gets any more minutes, but obviously he can't impress when he's being brought on after 92 minutes. George is looking more and more like a desperate signing just to bulk out the numbers, so probably don't see him joining as Moyes will likely not have had enough games to base a proper opinion on him - unless there's a cut-price deal to be had, which is doubtful.

Ndiaye is better on the left than the right, but Grealish is also quality on the left but can only play there really. We do only currently have one reliable winger which is Ndiaye, so unless we can get better for the £20-30 million Grealish would cost, might as well get him and figure it out later.

The kind of player who is so good every week he never gets the plaudits. We've all played with them.

MOM by a distance last night imo. Hardly put a foot wrong and was toying with Burnley at times. His close control is awesome to behold and his end product is also so underrated. When he gets around the box he nearly always makes the right decision.

Some really good performances last night. Hats off to KDH, Gana and McNeil, but Ndiaye gets my MotM vote.
Raises expectation and excitement whenever he receives the ball. A real joy to watch.
Nothing to disagree with there! If that effort from the corner of the box had gone in it would have gone down as a perfect game. There is no reason why him and Grealish can't play together!?

Rumour has it his ancestors actually originated in Brazil.
I'm not sure that football is hereditary otherwise we need to get on to Colleen and line up Kai or whatever his kid is called?

I only get attached to players when they are in their testimony year now!?
