Are you advocating 6 transfer fees and long term contracts to cover 6 short term injuries. Some Peter Ridsdale stuff this. Buy some more goldfish macca v

Nope, but I was advocating getting some strength in depth which was blatantly and obviously needed without another injury happening.

Anyone saying otherwise is living in cloud cuckoo land.

I don't think anyone is saying otherwise, but deals fall through, players aren't available unless for an extortionate amount, and who wants to join us in January, a relegation threatened, weakened nobody club in this point of our history?

I reckon there would have been lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of players wanting to play in the PL and happy to play for Everton in January mate.

Just my opinion though

I bet they're all pants though and we'd be upset if we signed them especially at the inflated January fee. The players people are wanting signed for the likes of Aston Villa and Brighton, Bournemouth etc. We're nowhere near that.

He’s played centre mid more than anything. I think we all know we needed at least one more front 3 type player.

From what I saw at Southampton Alcaraz can pick up the ball on halfway line and run towards the box in more convincing fashion than the other midfielders and get shots away.

Obviously Harrison will start on the left now at Palace. After a poor first 10 minutes he's been o.k but obviously limited and there's hardly anything on the bench now in terms of experienced attacking options.

Even three weeks will mean Ndiaye is out of Palace, Man. United, Brentford and possibly West Ham so plenty of winnable games he won't be around for so this is worst period to miss than April.
