Agreed, Mings left the pitch in a similarly emotional way and it turned out to be not too bad a few games back, but the lack of mobility and stability in Ndiaye’s knee coupled with his reaction suggests it is sadly a bad one.

We teeter on the edge of ‘going well’, but are never allowed to get there. Meanwhile Liverpool, possessed of all the money and Premier League backing a club might ever need, swan around with almost everybody perpetually fit. Infuriating doesn’t cover it.
