Moyes scouts players constantely with the purpose of having targets ready/in mind for when and if we come into money.

I'm positive we'll sign another player b4 sept as well as bring some loans in. The signing will come out of the blue and be someone we were not expecting... Loans won't happen till deadline day!

For DM I wouldn't mind Ander Iturraspe from Ath. Bilbao. Tidy player. 22 or 23 years old. Don't think they'll want (or need) to sell if Javi Martinez goes.

I know what you mean although I remember him playing really well against Arsenal and Man Utd (where he scored that goal). Kind of games I thought he'd struggle in for the same reasons at the time.

If he's genuinely a free agent, I cannot fathom a reason NOT to bring him in. Worst case scenario we do a Lucas Neill and get shot of him for a tidy profit inside a year. Best case scenario he makes amends for his previous disappearing act and gives us a good four years of creativity and industry in midfield - look at it this way, he'd cost us less initially than Gibson did!
