If you were David Moyes, who would you buy?

Holtby would be a good buy. Oviedo as back up left back. A proper right back would also be a good buy, its a shame that Selasse has gone to Werder Bremer, he would have been a good addition.

Still think we need a defensive midfielder, not really convinced with gibson. M'bia from Marseilles on loan would be a good addition

Tom Huddlestone could sit in deep with Gibson whilst Fellaini plays more attacking, Could get him for around 7million, I know that's not cheap but that's what you have to pay for young, English centre-mids now

I think its really hard to pick someone else to sign right now. Gudietti is a very good shout though.

Realistically I think all we need as a right midfielder, maybe a right back but I think Hibbert has been excellent there for a while now and it would be really harsh to ditch him from the team even if there are better players out there.

Ideally I would get a few young players in now, like a left wing back who can play LB and LM if Garbutt is deemed to young to step in incase we lose Baines.

If money and situation was no object I would spend everything we could on Jakub BÅ‚aszczykowski as he would be ideal to what we need and Moyes philosophy but he more than likely wouldnt leave Dortmund.

I would have had Vladimir Weiss before he moved to Pescara.

Rafał Wolski of Legia Warsaw would be an intriguing one who we could probably get fairly cheaply and could turn out brilliant.

I've seen quite a few people now over the past few days saying we need a right midfielder... where do they actually think Mirallas is going to play?? I can't be certain but i'm pretty sure that's where Moyes is going to use him most.

The fact is if Moyes wants to play Fellaini as the AM we know he likes to play two DM which will be Johnny/Gibson or Neville/Gibson

I wouldnt want Johnny or Neville in midfield to be honest so would love to see another CM come

Totally agree, CM is where we are light, we need one other for competition at least

Spanish and German league games are hardly difficult to find on telly.

M'Bia is a weird one. Moyes seemed to want him a lot when we couldnt really afford him and now he is affordable we dont want him. He seems to have fell of a cliff though in the past few years.

As far as i can see the defence is covered barring any departures, we have a good blend of players who can cover several positions, distin, neville and garbutt could cover baines. johnny, hibbert, coleman and neville can play rb and we have 3 centre backs already that dont fit into 2 positions with duffy as further cover. We also have an array of attacking midfielders now as listed in one of the other posts with junior and barkley (after soon loan games) as further back up. Moyes said barkley wont leave untill the window closes implying he wants another in first. CM we only really have felli and gibbson that most of us on here want in those positions and if felli pushes forwards we are left with neville like we were monday. With only jelavic up top as a quality centre forward we could do with an addition here.

So in summary, an experienced CM and CF, for me unless someone stands out id be more than happy with loan signings covering these positions, niang being an example!
