I'd hate to play City with BOTH players playing! City look good and are scoring goals with ease. I would rather play Chelsea than Man City. Chelsea aren't the same side and don't frighten me as much as City.

Depends on the deal, but as far as I know, loans between PL teams only prevent the player participating in games against the parent club in the league, and not cup.

I'd rather play Chelsea if I had to choose anyway.

Assuming Barry wants to stay at Everton post 2013/14 season, what if we just said to City we' d pay all his wages until his contract is up with them. That would save them 6 months of 60K a week (as they currently only pay half)...that's 1.5mio quid...maybe too high. Perhaps you could play around with the % paid to get a mutually agreeable number. This is a deal that is not particularly difficult to get over the line...of course depending on what RM wants and desires....and what Gaz wants and desires
