Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, United, Spurs and us. That's 7 teams and I think its realistic to say that all would expect to achieve top four this season.

So three of those teams will miss out on their target, and three fan bases will be massively disappointed. Potentially, two of those teams may not have European Football at all next year. That is the harsh fact.

Based entirely on last season, you would say that those 3 teams are likely to be Spurs, Liverpool and us. On that basis, at least one of those three (perhaps two) would miss out on European football altogether.

Say what you like about the Europa league, but I still feel that would be solid progression. It would bring in additional revenue and attract a higher calibre of player to the club in the summer, offering a great platform for the team to develop further rather than being something of a flash in the pan ala 2004 or most recently as Spurs did..

So yes, I would absolutely snatch your hand off if offered 4th, and would be more than happy if we got 5th as it would mean finishing above two of those teams which was well above my expectations at the start of the year.

Okay, I was encouraged to start this poll following a discussion in another thread where I made the following statement regarding our ambitions this year...

4th place is no Guarantee of CL at the moment. If any one of Utd, City, Arsenal, or Chelsea finish outside the top 4 but win the CL this season, then 4th gets bumped to Europa. Hence, it's a 'no' from me. 3rd place?...it's a yes as all uncertainty is removed

we finished 6th last season so 5th is an improvement.

But we are playing so well, 1 defeat so far, played United, Arsenal and Citeh away plus some new faces in January, id like to think we can aim higher.
