Spurs just waited for him to be out of position, and then just ran the ball behind him.
Like when he was at Villa, we go 1 or 2 behind and he evaporates. Gylfi is much the same.
He got caught wrong side and let son and eriksen between the lines three times in the first 5 minutes. He played cowardly passes amd still couldn't find a man. But he put in a couple of fouls and a couple of tackles so no doubt loads of our fans will think he was our MOTM.

I think beyond the ACON last season until now he has been absolutely rank
It will be great for us long term if Arsenal come in with a big bid and take him off us. We might actually get a ball player in the team.

The days of Arteta are long gone. We are absolutely desperate for someone to get in there and take control of the game as a deep lying play maker. Ridiculous that not one of our centre mids can play that role.

The most overrated player in our team. Offers nothing. Perhaps one of the reasons Villa went down and we’ve been rubbish for the majority of the time he’s been with us. Even the purple patch under Koeman was largely when Schneiderlin Davies and Barkley were all in beast mode and he could just run around like an aimless headless chicken.
Despite the money spent on them the current midfield players are not good enough. They cannot touch predecessors such as Arteta Cahill Osman Pienaar Carsley Gravesen Fellaini (much as I didn’t like him), they’re just nowhere near the same league. Schneiderlin, Gueye, McCarthy, Rooney,Davies. They have some good points but they don’t have the application, pace, power of creativity to play at the top level of the prem. Every team we have played this season has won the midfield battle against us. They’re not good enough and the fact that there’s a 30 Mill player who’s not even rated good enough to be in the squad shows how poor recruitment has been since Moyes left.
