Best centre mid we've go the has high energy and at least throws the odd tackle in. But I've been saying this for a while, we need an Arteta type next to him.

Really rate him as a ball winner, but if we're gonna change how we play as a team he needs to either turn himself into more of a pivot and stop trying to be everywhere, or we need to replace him with someone who knows how to tackle AND carry the ball

Gueye is a boss player. Sadly though he cant do everything and is looking worse for it this season.

Koeman started playing him in the wrong position or letting him have too much positional freedom and it still goes on today. He's not David Silva, he's David Batty/Nicky Butt. He needs to sit and press in our half then make an easy pass to either a full back or this imaginary midfielder I dream we'll sign that controls a game in the Fabregas mold. His defensive stats are always near the best in the league if not the best. We need to build around him and not replace him with some dogpoo like Nzonzi.

I think the issue is our attacking players can't hold onto the ball and it has diminished any confidence our players had. It isn't just Gueye at this point. He actually looked decent last season with the ball. Not great by any means, but he wasn't hopeless either.

I don't agree. Well kind of anyway. The issue is that the players do not move for the ball and provide an option, not that the players do not know how to play it forward, at times there is literally nowhere to play it forward to. I see it more with Gueye than anyone and it was massively noticeable with Walcott this past week. They are getting the ball, moving forward with it and then holding out their hands asking where is the movement.

Can't say I've seen him since he left England but his stats show no goals or assists with gives us another Gana, and his tackling stats are below Gana's.

I think some peoples opinions on here are warped by the bad game he had against Tottenham. But thankfully the vast majority seem to see hes definitely our best midfielder and the last too be replaced.

I think we were spoiled with an excellent first season from him. I was absolutely made up with the fact we had a player so good who didn't even get minutes with Aston Villa.

He's had a typical sophomore slump and I know he will bounce back. Even with his recent subpar performances he's still ahead of many in our over saturated midfield.

Good, you should have to earn improved contracts, he's been terrible.
