I hate Liverpool football club!

I've come across this video showing Roma and Liverpool fans before the EC final in 1984.

Minute 4:45. There's a guy wearing an Everton shirt among the Liverpool fans. They also sing an Everton chant all together.

Explanations needed. 😄

you see those cans of liquid they are all consuming, rumour is they contain booze. That each of 'em are walleyed suggests some impressive consumption.

Can i just say...

Stop it, you should not care about them. Rivalries arise when it there is reason.

Who cares? If we become thre best side everywhere won't worry, si don't stoop.

Demand greatness. Demand success.

I always will. But I realised a few years ago, especially around the Kenwright/Moshiri/FSW/Dyche era that I actually hate Everton more!

If Iraola ends up there, I just despair. If the Friedkins have an ounce of vision & ambition, they’d have had him boxed of months ago.

Another year of the Moyesasaurus it is then.

Nil Satis Nisi Optimum my ar5e!
What makes you think he wants to come here? Bournemouth have finished above us the last 4 seasons. We need to find our own Iraola/Howe type manager

Well that needs to change, he also would have been very keen to come and have a conversation with us
I’d be interested too being paid millions to fail and sacked!

Knowing full well everyone in football knew it was the wrong appointment and Everton were daft employing Head coach without Football Director!

Maybe that’s the longer plan Moyes as Football director…

Well if Moyes is going to be our DOF we may as well pack it all in and go
And do something else

He’s got a 37% win ratio at a club with an excellent recruitment track record and with zero pressure.

Let’s see how he does under more pressure and scrutiny before we saturate our bedsheets with steaming hot urine.

Your rather evocatively phrased bedwetting reference stirred a distant memory of my only ever adult bed-wetting experience..... after an absolute skinful in my very late teens. Thankfully, never repeated.

However, I have sh1t the bed (and my kecks) hundreds of times since. I've been in a bit of a Love-Hate relationship for over 40yrs. I love Arthur (Guinness) dearly, but he appears to hate staying with me a moment longer than he absolutely has to. Moral of the story is for the sake of your well-being, relationships and your mattress, try to steer clear of hatred.

….always think ‘hate’ is too strong a word for football but it’s not too far off in this instance.

They made a big effort to sign me in 1971 but it honestly never once came remotely close to changing my allegiance. Play for them Saturday mornings, watch us in the afternoons, give my free tickets to pals.

If they'd have come for me I'd have thrown a bucket of piss over them, or me Dad would have.

That'd have been Geoff Twentyman who called on you?

That is a horrible thought 😞

You're being naive mate. This Iraola thing has been lined up for months.

….it was Tom Saunders who ended up working closely with Paisley.

I was in class one day and the school secretary came in and said I was wanted by the Headmaster. I had no idea, went into his room and surprised to see my Dad sitting with Tom and the Headmaster, they’d obviously found where my Dad worked on the Docks and got him before approaching me.

The Head gave me the rest of the day off school, my Dad went back to work, Tom took me to Anfield & then Melwood to meet Shankley and Paisley. Tom was close to Liverpool Boys and apparently they’d tipped him off that plenty of clubs were asking but in particular Everton. I’m sure that’s why they were so keen to sign me.

Didn't want Iraola in the first place. He seems to be a manager who can get a club to a good competitive position but won't stick around. He's far from a safe choice for Liverpool as he's got no European competition experience as far as I can see looking at his career. Will be a real test for him this job.
