Sorely, sorely missed recently our deep voiced South African. We'll see better performances from others around him too when he returns. Partly from his skills and partly from the better football we will hopefully be able to maintain for more of the game. Yak in particular springs to mind.

On his contract I honestly think now he'll hold off until after the World Cup. I don't like it but it's just modern football. He's got a chance to get massive exposure, his agent won't want him tied to a long deal when a few outstanding games for the hosts could catapult his value. At least we'd have the profit to console ourselves.

I think it is time to pursue a quality right midfielder with January looming.
If Pienaar wants out, his heart won't be in the performances. Even though he was our best player up until his injury, his agent is probably working overtime.

It's a shame. Hope he does sign.

So it looks like another player wants to get out for the gold chest at the end of the rainbow after his career was rejuvenated at Everton.

the first one that springs to mind that tried to do this, was Sheedy before the euro's, saying how he was gonna use it as a springboard to get a move to Celtic. he got injured, didn't go to the euro's and then had to stay at g.p. turned me right against him that failed manouver and i don't reckon his heart was ever in it after that.
