Anyway, that 4-4-2 made the different didn't it?

It might when the players remember what it is and we use natural wide players instead of makeshift central midfielders on the flanks.

We have problems, but do not feel we are best utilising what we still have available match to match.
Then there is the case that regardless of 1 or 2 up front, the 4 at the back aren't really a coherent, unmovable force!

If Tony had played tonight, he'd be getting slaughtered.

Still, it will all work out in the end......

My mrs knows jacks about football and she was able to comment that we were shocking!

Has the man of the match poll sank without a trace then?

If you invert it, we could vote on a scale of unworthyness! :P

If you want a good enjoyable Christmas, just don't watch Everton until January. Simples!

Started to read every post since I had been on yesterday but thought better of it.

Needless to say I got in tonight to watch the last 30 min on tape delay (didn't TIVO it as my DVR is trashed) and was absolutely shocked at the scoreline.

Not so much that we were losing but that we allowed a team like Hull to put three in on us. THREE GOALS !!! I don't know what's wrong with our defense but it better get fixed quick. We are missing Jags more than I can say.

We better hope we get some players back asap and are able to field our top team before the rot really sets in because as of tonights result, I fear that we'll be in a relegation battle if we don't get them back on the field soon.

I think a lot of our players are hiding right now we had 10 times the quality of hull last night but we were [Poor language removed].

...................................

*speechless* - no passion , no pride , no organisation , no communication , no leadership, no motivation..........

*Sigh*

I'm getting very bored having to go to work with all my mates laughing at me. For gods sake i live in Southampton and they are all Saints fans!!! And they are laughing at me.

Just thought i'd quote myself as i am right now being bombarded with emails at work from said Saints fans....Can anyone forward this to the players and Moyes so they know what they put us through!?:@

Season's over for me.

Moyes has ran out of ideas with his injuries at the moment.

Was waiting for a season like this - comes back to board not backing Moyes, last minute transfers etc etc. Bubble has burst IMO.

We look fragile, weak, and have no leadership.

Dreading Sunday.

Ditto sadly:(:(:(

How should I put it? It was basically a game of two half, first half I did give it, 01 out of 10 for effort and performance and second half I would give it, 06 out of 10 for effort and performance. Had we give out such performance throughout the whole match, I believe we would have won the game.

But if we are being honest when you conceded three goals in the first half, you don't really deserved to win the game, don't you agree?

Still I believe we could have scored four goals or more against Hull, if our player give us one of there better performance, but it wasn't to be it was one of our weaker performance particlular in the first half, so, it was one of the game for us to lose or to win, it all depend on ourselve.

Although to our disappointment we lost the game but I am delighted to see Pienaar playing the whole game for us, he is clearly lacking bit of fitness and sharpness, still he had created couple of chances for us when we start to move up a gear or two.

So, I believe with Billy returning and as Pienaar fitness level improve, our form and strength would also improve, and result should come as well.

So, let's hope we make the Merseyside Derby the match we come back to form, nothing would delight me more than a kick start to our season with a Merseyside Derby win!

Same here simple truth of it this the squad was never strong enough at seasons start so given the injuires we've got its no wonder things are going from bad to worse.
