Huge Job

Everton haven't kicked a ball yet in a game that matters so people need to calm down and trust in the manager to get things right. The club panicked last year and just magnified a bad start into a total disaster. If we as fans or the owners of the club bottle it again then we will just end up with the other fat slug back by Christmas.
We need to just all give our heads a wobble and back the manager 100% this season and see where that takes us.

Martinez and Koeman made so many gash signings between them it’s set us back years. I mean I can’t be arsed to cobble a list together but there will be far, far more duds than decent signings.

The biggest deficiency has been in defence though, 3 of the back 4 that started tonight were Moyes signings, and the one that wasn’t is pure gash. Says all you need to know.

It is amazing how, on the whole, Moyes was very good in the market with very little money. Then we fork out on directors of football, etc and sign players of a much lower caliber for more money.

He probably had half the staff of this team, however. Things have changed quite a bit.

I dont think its that huge, we need 3 defenders, a CM with good technique and a striker. All good actual footballers preferably.

Ask anyone that'd seen us play what the team needed. We've signed a left winger. That was at best 3rd on people's lists, usually 4th or 5th. the dream team need to get their fingers out before the window gets close to shutting and we end up going with what we've got or worse panic buying turds again

It's taking weeks to get deals over the line. Just hope brands understands transfer deadline day

He does.

He told me it’s Transfer Dead Wood Day in the Netherlands.

On that day he’ll be videoed fitting a large revolving glass door inFinch Farm. Next shot will be the likes of Mirallas, Baines, Jagielka, Williams, Keane etc being shipped into a minibus to the soundtrack “So Long, farewell, and wiedersehn, goodbye”.

There’ll be a popcorn interlude......followed by a drum roll. The camera will switch to a blacked out Mercedes people carrier Simon Cowell style. Music will switch to “Let me Entertain You”.

Marcel will be first out in light chinos and a tweed jacket, smiling broadly.

First, a 6’7” centre back stoops low to get out of the vehicle....Yery Mina.
He’s followed by three new Galactico’s draped in Royal Blue.....they walk through the dry-Ice generated mist and pronounce “tonight Marcel, I’m going to be...”

Who they are we won’t know until Molineux.....Mr Kenwright has orchestrated the perfect Panto, and Everton win the league.

Don’t quote me, I’m not ITK....it’s just a hunch, don’t shoot the messenger.

Taps nose.

No, not what Michael Keane reminds me of.....but what Marco and Marcel have on their hands. It’s total rebuild that’s going to take time, probably two seasons minimum to get us even able to play attractive football and finish 6-8th...True.

Will they get the time and can Goodison be patient?...Doubt it.

Did they realise the enormity of the task, and the weaknesses mentally and physically of this squad of players?...No way

Will they succeed?...Of course...maybe
