Thought the score was 1-0, not 6-5 had we have scored 2 we would have won duuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrr,
do we sell the rest of the team for not scoring, its FOOTBALL this is what its all about, and makes it exciting

Howard looked more than human today. But..............

if we go down the list player by player even our 75k a week maestro looked bland. No hope for Saha or Cahill today in front of goal. Samba was unbelievable for them we are suppose to be better than this though Alladyce used Moyes tactics against him smothering our midfield and their defense looked to be never threatened .

Its difficult for goal keepers.

Because when they **** up, it normally means conceding a goal. But when other players **** up, no one is as bothered.

A striker can get a shot all wrong, a midfielder can lose the ball or play a loose pass, a defender can miss a tackle...

...Theyre all **** ups, just because Howard makes one doesnt mean he should be punished, its just unlucky that it led to a goal...

...Learn from it and move on

Well it was a mistake that has cost us the season. We needed to win this game to crack on.

Can't have any passengers at all. Wasn't he a wide receiver at some point in his youth?

Behave. Are you high? One mistake. You want shooting for that!!

Seriously, we all need to get a grip. Howard is still a world-class keeper and I'm glad we have him and I would much rather have him between the pipes than mucha or anyone else right now.

Others have said it as well, keepers have it tough because when they make a mistake, it frequently means a goal (or possibly the game). Field players rarely get blamed with the same venom. We win as a team and we lose as a team. Sure, Howard made a mistake, but who on the field stepped up? No one. We looked ordinary and uninspired as a team yesterday (before and after the goal).

Howard is good for a mistake or two every year, he got one out of his system early, good. Only up from here. If he proves unable to shake it off, then we have an issue, but we won't know that for a few more games. We always start slow, so I'd rather lose a game on a howler during a game we didn't play well as a team than one where we dominated and it really was "against the run of play". In my opinion, that mistake cost us only 1 point. The team was doing NOTHING to get 3 points.

Howard cost us two points today, but the whole team cost us three.

In that regard he saved us a point, so he really did only cost us one point.

Bravo Sir.
