Howard Kendall RIP

My dad will be devastated. He is two years younger than Howard and has been a massive, massive Evertonian his entire life. He was there against Rapid Vienna, and was at his 'peak' of being a Blue back in the 80s before he became a dad three times over and couldn't afford to go to the game every week any more.

Wish I'd have been able to see some of the successes that my dar did.

"Howard Kendall was an amazing story at Everton, really. This week there was a lot of conversation about players winning easy England caps. The general consensus is that Kendall may well be the finest English player never to win a cap. His chance never came, but he was a wonderful player and a wonderful man for Everton."
Never a truer word.

Saw him play in that magnificent late 60s/70s team and of course as manager of the 80s side - he totally "got" Everton from his first day at the club.....so sad and gutted to hear this RIP Howard.
