Howard Kendall RIP

At least Roberto Martinez, when he arrived made the man welcome at the training ground and spent quite a few afternoons with him, the players did also. Hopefully he passed on some of his wisdom and experience to them, and we can really kick on in this season in memory of him.

Hope we do something special for him, some people may say over the top, but a re-naming of a stand really couldn't go amiss?
Totally agree.

The man is Everton. I can't think of another man who has a greater affiliation with the club than him.

As others have said I'm just so glad that Martinez brought him back in to the club, you could see how much it meant to him. I''ll always remember that image of Howard sitting in the stands in tears as we tore Arsenal apart 3-0 in the 13-14 season (I hope my memory serves me correctly). It was as if he could see something special starting.

After composing meself, I can't really bring meself around to either annoying people on here, trying to make them smile, discussing anything or what have ya......

Just completely stunned. They say "The show must go on" ; but me enthusiasm's been knocked outta me. Today isn't about untied anymore. Nor will Arsenal get me motivated, I reckon......

Our mate's gone. My adolescent idol is no more.

God Rest You, Howard.

And thanks.
