C-

Some very good moments and important victories that hopefully will have an impact for our mentality long-term. Top and bottom of it though is we missed out on Europe again because our squad is loaded with gutless and/or limited players whom we shouldn't have signed in the first place, or at least shouldn't still be using a key players.

Sigurdsson - run him out of town
Iwobi - give him away
Delph - just pay him off
Gomes - offer him around
Bernard - same as Gomes
Keane - sell for a decent offer
Holgate - sell him for even a half-decent offer.
Coleman - tell him to leave or retire because it's over
Kean - just take PSG's offer, a profits a profit

If ever there was a transitional season it was this one, but the home form regardless of the empty stadiums was nothing short of disgraceful.

Ancelotti made errors, some of them really bad and annoying, but he also showed enough for any sane person to know he's the right man to have at the wheel. Brands? Big summer or it's curtains, he simply hasn't got enough to show for his 3 year tenure. Anything other than tangible success going forward or he should be fired.

We all just need a break from this club for a good while now. God bless Blues, enjoy your summer.

As the thread title suggests, how would you grade our season?
It pretty much ended the way I said it would (see number six on the list) so no big surprises really. Going to rate the season as a five overall though.

Prediction.webp

I was going for between a 3 and 5, but frankly after the start of the season followed by the soul crushing capitulation of the players dragged it down to 3.

Very, very poor. Great kit, a few decent away performances and topping the charts does not unfortunately make a vintage season.

Ancelotti's reign will be over sooner rather than later if we start off next season as we finished this one. Yet another critical transfer window trying to achieve the same thing. Oh well at least a month or so off now which is nice.

Disappointed but not despondent.

Not that much between 4th and 10th in terms of points; quite a lot in terms of performance, obviously.

Some truly horrendous players getting a game and that has to stop.

That’s it. We were close this season to doing something unexpected but it would have been due to everyone being poor around us and that pushing us up instead of us going forward and earning it.

We had a few positive moments to take forward but the only saving grace for me is that Carlo, Moshiri and Brands have seen exactly how far away we are today and throughout the season and I have to hope they will act accordingly.
