How would you feel if this was our squad come the end of the summer window ?

On original post... NO I wouldn't be happy with going with that squad. Although keeping baines and Fellaini and adding pienaar would be good, we would be no better off than last season.

For me we MUST bring in pienaar. We MUST bring in a RW preffebly Donovan we'v added Naismith which could prove a real coup and we MUST add a couple more squad players. Pranjic and rodellaga/castaignos would be great options.

That would mark a improvement on last years squad at little cost and honestly leave me optimistic that within reason anything could happen next season!

Castaignos wouldn't be happy being a squad player, and we'd also have to pay £4m+ for him.

We looked fresh at the end of the season, persoanlly i think we could do with some depth in forward and wide positions.

Jelly puts in a shift and a half and its been a long summer for him and half a preseason.

Gibbo and Pienarr really only played half a season last year and were reasonably fresh coming toward the end of the season. I think it may different this year to keep up that level of performece over the course of 40+ games.

Failure to add depth will hurt us in the second half of the season.

Good amount of youth in our squad too....

Vellios - he's never going to crack the first team. Flog him back to Greece for an acceptable sum.
Coleman - never rated him, never will.
Duffy - wouldn't be surprised one bit to see him get some regular run
Barkley - the RM job is his to take
Rodwell - tease.
Junior - saucy.
Gibson - will prove to be one of Moyes' best buys ever

There's certainly potential there.

There's certainly potential and some **** as well.

Coleman - never rated him, never will. (One bad season and you "never rated him" had a great first season before injury)
Duffy - wouldn't be surprised one bit to see him get some regular run. (okay)
Barkley - the RM job is his to take.( Not a right mid)
Rodwell - tease. (Will be a great player, was great before injury and again is still young.)
Junior - saucy. (okay)
Gibson - will prove to be one of Moyes' best buys ever (okay)

(my rebuttal)

Rodwell wasn't great before his injury problems this season.
