Just sayin mate, you strike me as the type of fan that agrees with the selling of star players in order to fund future sales.

Copper Plums

Choices:

a ) We don't sell him, and as a result the best players we can get in are free transfers
b ) We sell him, and as a result have money to buy players

Option c would be keeping him and spending money, that option doesn't exist.

I also don't see what the fact that i was on a coach has to do with it.

NOT A PROPER FAN CUZ YOU DONT LIVE NEXT TO THE GROUND LAD

Whoooa easy lad, I just said you strike me as a fan that is happy to sing from the same songsheet as The Chairman mate.

No offence was meant.

I live miles away from Goodison as well lad, I have to cross a River and everythin innit.

Im just saying, we dont have to sell Baines to spend some spondys lad.

We can just sell some gashness.

i would accept £18 million at the least for baines. Not that i'm in the same boat as the chairman, but because i believe it would be a good way to re-invest in the squad and bring in 3/4 reasonably quality additions. I would not say i'm happy about seeing our star players leave because i would say no all day to long to any offer for fellaini unless it was in the ronaldo bracket price. Was gutted to see rooney go, but wasn't too fussed on lescott because we got about £15 more than what he was worth, we're a team that has to sell big in order to advance, definately not agreeing with the way kenwright does things, just saying thats the was we (sadly) have to do our business atm.

also i wouldn't be too happy with that squad, there's no real wow factors, we need to be bringing in more players than that and hopefully we will

how do I change my vote? haah

I thought not including peinaar and naismith but then I saw your post ;)

I think that would be fine and we could challenge and bring some of the youngsters to the first team too in case of injuires.

Wow I was expecting it to be like fellaini + baines out. This is pretty much the ideal (realistic) outcome we could possibly hope for. Is pranjic definitely off?

never on mate, was all agent talk as i said from day one. Say what you like about me, but ive been bang on re: pranjic + rod

No it is not supposed to be off, apparently they are just discussing the terms and supposed to be complicated... :/
hopefully it will clear up soon and we will get him, I am excited about him

you mean the man who sounded like he'd walk through glass to sign for Everton 2 weeks ago, is complicating matters?? Shirley not!!

You know nothing about football so I wouldn't trust your judgement on the signing of a free agent.

I trust LCab and he has not said it is off, thus it is not.

On original post... NO I wouldn't be happy with going with that squad. Although keeping baines and Fellaini and adding pienaar would be good, we would be no better off than last season.

For me we MUST bring in pienaar. We MUST bring in a RW preffebly Donovan we'v added Naismith which could prove a real coup and we MUST add a couple more squad players. Pranjic and rodellaga/castaignos would be great options.

That would mark a improvement on last years squad at little cost and honestly leave me optimistic that within reason anything could happen next season!
