Just done this out of curiosity really. You could pick the bones out of it if you wanted to but it gives a general idea behind how well the board have backed David Moyes in the transfer market since he joined the club.

Players brought in who we have paid a transfer fee for.
Gosling £1m
Yakubu £11.25
Leighton Baines £6m
Pienaar £2.5m
Beattie £6.5m
Jagielka £4m
Jutkiewicz £400k
da Silva £700k
Lescott £3m
Johnson £8.6m
Spencer £220k
Howard 'undisclosed', believed to be £3m
van der Meyde £1.8m
Valente £1.5m
Neville £3.5m
Arteta £2m (and initial £1m loan fee)
Kroldrup £5m
Davies £3.5m
Ruddy £250k
Cahill £2m
Bent £450k
Kilbane £1m
McFadden £1.25
Martyn £500k
Yobo £4.5m + £1m loan
Wright £3.5m
Rodrigo £1.25

Now my maths is awful but a quick summary brings me to;
Players In Total = £81.25m

Now players we have sold under David Moyes...
Johnson £10.5m
McFadden £4.75m
Beattie £4m
Naysmith £1m
Davies £3m
Kilbane £2m
Silva Unknown, Paid £700k so lets say £700k
Bent £2m
Kroldrup £3.2m
Chadwick £250k
Gravesen £2.45m
Linderoth £1.75m
Rooney £25m, ish.
Radzinski £1.75m
O'Hanlon £150k
Pembridge £500k
McLeod £250k

Again, you could pick the bones out of transfer fees and maths not the best but I quickly make that...

Players Out Total = £66.5m

Now I had a late night last night so odds are I have gone disastrously wrong somewere but I make that £81.25m spent and £66.5m received? So that to me is just under £15m in how many years?...

Make of that what you will.

Its is bloody sad! Pathetic if you ask me. We need descent investors in this club or we'll forever be the "Club That WAS!"...

there was a kid, about 19 years old sold to man ure whilst moyes was manager.... wayne... royney? royston? royle? rooney!

player trading is one aspect of football business.

how long have everton tickets been some of the most competitive in the premier league?

out sourcing merchandise and food has saved the club how much? and when was the new tact brought about?

we havnt let other businesses off in terms of rangers £500k, and perugia £500k like we were once accustomed too.

they reckon goodison needs £500k a season to maintain.

I'm surprised by that to be honest. I thought we'd spent much more than we'd taken. Let's see how today pans out and whether it looks a little more like we're a spending club.

I think they've backed him enough in previous seasons.

He has been given what he needed to build a foundation to sustain UEFA cup football. we had the platform to build on Moyes needed cash to elevate our club into top 4 contenders. Instead they sold Johnson and gave him a IOU with world class midfielder written on it.

If Moyes hasn't been given the money this summer and BK and the board are just dicking him about. Then, I fully expect him to leave the second a high profile job is available. If we're not going to match his ambition, then he might aswell go too a club that will.

well what i dont get with those figures is that the club have only put 14.75 million extra into the club , but the debt has gone up 40 million + in that time.

Zero, better take Obinna out of your signature
took my signature off completely. :(

it's not getting put back up until we've signed someone I'm happy to have in my signature either. [Poor language removed] gutted that Obinna isn't coming.:@

Kroldrup we sold for £5M according to TW stats, so add another £2M on to the incoming total.

All in all, Moyes has had Everton punching above their weight. He needs more backing in the transfer market not less.

His net spending is nothing short of a complete joke for a club looking to push on to a better league position.
