Nearest in recent times was Fiorentina,difference last night was we got the result,place was bouncing.

Sounded dead on the bbc, but I watched the hi lites on line and the crowd came across as very loud, like chalk and cheese.
when we won the cup winners cup I couldn't believe the way it came across on tv as live it was brilliant , but sounded rubbish on tv, would live to see a replay of that with the sound up, the dutch tv had the sound turned really low.

Came across on TV a very quiet and sound deadened.

Park Ender here! Watched match in full when I got home after the game. I'm not sure they were actually playing the right sound track. The difference between being there and listening on telly was chalk and cheese. Get a grip BBC, I know we're not one of your favourites but this was a quarter final FFS! The one thing they got right was, how special this place (Goodison) is on occasions like this. It might be old and dated, but its ours! COYB!

I was sat in front of the Chelsea fans because of where my dad's season ticket seat is.. He is in a wheelchair... but I can say the atmosphere was electric. . And better because when we scored the Chelsea fans behind me went totally silent!!

When the game finished there were coins thrown on the pitch from behind me.. One landed right in front. . Chelsea fans goading the stewards trying to start a fight.. but it didn't work. And yes I celebrated like mad when Lukaku scored. .. and to be fair got no stick or abuse off the Chelsea fans behind me...
All in all great game and off to Wembley!

There's no better place in the world to be then the old lady when she's rocking like that. It was electric throughout and was pure pandemonium after goals. Nights like that are what make Goodison so special.

I watched the highlights on BBC and the atmosphere didn't seem that good, however anyone who was actually there will know that the atmosphere was great. There as only really one point of the match where Chelsea fans were in full voice and that was in the start of the second half. The whole ground was up for it last night, shame it can't be like that every game.

Had to leave straight after first goal to get last train home. Gutted but was worth it. Something special about seeing goodison from the outside with floodlights on then running down county road with your arms in the air celebrating when you hear the second roar.
