Had to leave straight after first goal to get last train home. Gutted but was worth it. Something special about seeing goodison from the outside with floodlights on then running down county road with your arms in the air celebrating when you hear the second roar.
I'm sure there's been lots of away fans running down County RD with hands waving in air, shouting no not my face.

Hate how they have the mics by away fans. Sounded crap tbh on tv until our goal, after that it sounded immense. Would have loved to be there, noting like a rocking Goodison.

yes mate watched it back on tv yesterday and could only hear Chelsea fans for most of it. In real life I barely heard the Chelsea fans once in the stadium. Goodison was loud and I think the fact costa was being a snide really lifted the crowd. I could feel the atmosphere dropping when the game lulled but he really kept us angry.

Going to make a controversial point here but why can't it be like that every week?

Loads of reasons.

Enormity of the game.....a crowd will react more raucously in a massive game, particularly one where their team are not clear favourites than it will in a run of the mill game against opposition they perceive to be inferior

That game was under the lights.....always enhances the atmosphere.

The presence of a pantomime villain.....in this case Cup of Coffee, last week it was Noble.

Sense of expectation....the winds of change are now howling around L4 and the fans are enthused again. There is a genuine belief that things are about to change for the better.

Most important of all, away fans.....three or four times the amount of away fans than in a normal game. It has been said before but the decreased atmosphere evident at most top EPL teams these days is in a great part due to the low percentage of away fans.

Because not every week do we have such an important game. Plus the late kick off gives you more time on the ale.

It's hard to get aggressive against no marks like Watford and Norwich.
We should all know now most games in the Premier League are tough. Watford came to Goodison and almost beat us. If the atmosphere was like that every week we'd be higher in the table in my opinion.
