TBH, with the way that we did business this year, it seems that the crowing about how poor we are was left in the office. The stance during the whole thing was completely different to Moyes. His approach to United would of been, "We have no money, so require you to give us a premium on our player, unless that is met, then you cant have him", which, if I was the buyer would tell me that they would go cheaper the more desperate they became.

Bobby played a blinder, regardless of what money we have/had in the coffers, he never said anything about us being skint, and the whole "McCarthy in no way is dependant on Fellaini" is designed purely to say that we are not for shifting on the price.

They both got very similar results, but Bobbys way is much more pleasing, and puts everton in a much better light.

Idk if Kenwright wanted it to disappear all the transfers would have been undisclosed so we know we should have at least 15m left. Also the club apparently said McCarthy would have happened with or without Fellaini which of course no one believes but it does line up with what FourthOfficial has been saying about us having cash to spend.

Either way we should have at least 15m+ left.

Good thread this, surprisngly perceptive of Evertonians that there would be no net spend whatsoever, which takes some doing in the era of record TV money income. When Bill next tries to move us to Runcorn etc I can see the yes vote might dropping below 40%.

Why do people care what the net spend is?

Everyone already knows that 100% will NOT be reinvested into the team. Just seems to be one more thing to get worked up over that will make zero difference to us watching what happens on the field.
