How good are these players ?

Can't understand how you'd doubt Jelavic to the degree of having strikers like Ba, P. Cisse and Balotelli ranked over him. The first two have had as long to settle as Jelavic, and apart from the last three games Jelavic has settled as well, if not better than the both of them, with as many goals but with a lot more interest to take part in their team's performance.
Balotelli is hit or miss, every singly time. The kid might be a genius, but he lacks anything even remotely reminiscent of conscistency. Chicharito is too much of a poacher to work in a system like ours, Adebayor and Tevez work much the same way as Jelavic but I think both are more inconcistent due to their inflated egos. Aguero and Defoe are small and quick and have an eye for goal but I don't think they're as effective in retaining the ball, neither close down as well either. Dzeko is probably the one who's most alike Jelavic but I think he needs better motivation than what Mancini can provide.
RvP would be a dream, but his injury record is a pretty big con. Rooney I'd expect to play more in the role where we've utilized Fellaini lately, and I'm not sure he'd beat the Big Fella in the form he's been in.

As far as I am concerned Fellaini is the best player in the league regardless of position.
Baines is quite obviously the best left back in the league and has been for some time now.

Jagielka cant be the best in the leauge with us leaking goals all the time
Coleman is nowhere near good enough defensively, lets hope it improves.

Jagielka's been great this season, but wouldn't be a best-in-the-league centre half. More like pushing the top 5. It's about the only position England produces good players in, so there are a lot of very solid citizens there. Jagielka's amongst the best of them, but there's a gap to the real class centre halves.

Not that I'm complaining like, it's great to see him back to his best.

Prime Distin was a better player than Jags - a galloping black stallion.

Oh no, this is the point in the season where we get carried away about how good we are, isn't it?

We've got a good squad with some really quality players. But let's be honest, there are a whole host of players, if we're looking at it on paper, we'd rather have.

But what I'm more concerned about currently is how we're playing as a team and generally, the answer to that is "pretty damn good."

Vermaelen hasnt even been the best center half at Arsenal for a while now. Koscielny and Mertesacker are both boss.

Baines - is the best left back in the league.
Jagielka -is a fine center half, but not an elite one. There are lots of players at his level but few who are definitely better.
Coleman - Ah come on. Ivanovic, Walker, Johnson, Richards, Smalling, Jones, Sagna, Zabaleta. There's a probably a couple more as well. Against some opposition I'd prefer Hibbert to him.

Pienaar - Same as Jagielka.
Mirallas - Haven't seen enough to really say.

Jelavic - There's plenty of center forwards I'd take over him, I'm afraid. I don't like doing it but you asked for names, so RVP, Rooney, Hernandez, Ba, P.Cisse, Suarez, Aguero, Balotelli, Dzeko, Tevez, Adebayor, possibly Defoe?

You would swap Jelavic for P.Cisse; he his the most worthless pile of sh!te ever. A few worldies and thats it, he is without doubt one of the worst strikers in the top league.

Dzeko; I've seen a container vessel turn in the Mersey quicker than him and as for Adebayor, he didn't get the name Lazybayor at Arsenal for nothing.

However, from the original question.

Baines - is the best left back in the league and Europe at the minute.
Jagielka - is slowly getting back to the were he was a couple of years ago, however there are plenty more centre backs who are better.
Coleman - Nowhere near being one of the best, he's fantastic going forward and offers us something different.
Pienaar - Offers more to the team then most players at any other club. He fits Everton perectly, our style of play and his partnership with Baines is worth its weight in gold.
Mirallas - If he keeps up this form, his potential is the sky. So dangerous running with the ball, fearless and direct. Something I haven't seen since Andrei. Hard to say he's the best yet, but he's becoming a bargain for the price we paid.
Jelavic - Far better strikers in the Prem, but I love Jela and he should easily get us 15 goals a season.

Cisse isn't one of the worst strikers in the league, he's a good one who's hit a bad patch of form. Overall I'd certainly prefer Jelavic, mind.

Overall agree with your ratings of our players. In terms of our aspirations of challenging for Europe and perhaps the top 4, we've got a good standard. Pleased with where we're at, hopefully we can show our usual resolute nature when injuries invariably hit.

Are you kidding? If Jelavic the boss slotter works like that in our team imagine the damage Hernandez would be able to do. Surprisingly, he's amazing in the air as well (btw something i have to say Jelavic is too!), but i rate him highly. If we sell Felli, we should chicharito with the money... Oh, and pass the bleach, thanks.

Indeed, Hes a quality player. He has a little bit of everything.

Dzeko is a quality striker too. Some of the opinions in this thread baffle me. Each to their own though.

the way he drives us on from full back is sensational, but if hes got a hair out of place the hibbert beauts will be on saying he should be dropped, and we can go back to having no balance on the flanks anymore

I still feel Coleman's defending leaves a lot to be desired. Look at Sunderland's two goal opportunities before they scored on Saturday, Coleman was left wanting on both occasions IMO.

Some varied opinions here.

Felli and Baines are obviously near the top of the league. No one is arguing that here and I don't think anyone can argue that elsewhere.

Jelavic and Mirallas have both been very good for us, but the jury's still out. There are certainly far more accomplished players in their positions in the PL.

Coleman, there are too many to list better than him. He is inexperienced and learning (I wouldn't really call him young), so he will get better. But not close to the top at the moment.
