How good are these players ?

You cant have Coleman in that list surely.

He is doingf ok, but still poor defensive.

2nd motm behind felli yesterday got forwards defending against a good winger too - a great sliding challange to put Fletcher off from scoring after PN had passed the ball away!
Coleman is one of our only players like Baines who can dribble the ball around opposin fullbacks with ease.

He is going to be a top class wingback DM has to leave him there TH & PN have to be benched!

Coleman will be a world class wing back if he is given this continued run!

For me Baines is nailed on the best left back in the league, Fellaini and Jagielka are very close to the top.

Pienaar, Jelavic, Mirallas are probably about 4th-5th best which is the level the rest of the team needs to improve to. I'd disagree with Coleman, I'd say he probably isn't even in the top 10 right backs in the league but obviously he is young and improving.

Just noticed on the Goal that got us back init , it was Colemans burst of energy and drive that started it , drove forward takes players away , lays of to Fellaini whilst still running forward and Bingo

LB - Baines is arguably the best in that position now
CB - Jagielka - Kompany, Vidic, Vermaelen
RB - Coleman - Walker, Sagna, Maicon
LM - Pienaar - Podolski, (To me Bale is hyped up too much but better in some aspects)
CM - Fellaini doesn't play this position so everyone?? More of an AM - Rooney, Cazorla, Tevez
RM - Mirallas - Not enough evidence to say how good he actually is?? Same as LM not many teams use L and R Mids they employ AM instead
CF - Jelavic - Hasn't played well the last few games but managed to score yesterday - Dzeko, Van Persie, Ba and above all at the moment Hernandez
Vermaelen better than Jagielka?

LB -- Baines -- No one currently.
CB -- Jagielka -- Kompany, Vermaelen, Vertonghen, Agger.
RB -- Coleman -- Walker, Sagna.

LM -- Pienaar -- Bale, Podolski, Ashley Young.
CM -- Fellaini -- On current form no one, but I see as a attacking midfielder, not a CM.
RM -- Mirallas -- Struggling to find any players.

CF -- Jelavic -- Suarez, Hernandez, RVP, Ba, Defoe.

Great description in the paper today about fellaini and sunderland - they were fellainied, sorry if you have heard this already, hope for a lot more teams to be fellainied too.

Vermaelen better than Jagielka?

In my honest opinion yes Vermaelen is a better player than Jagielka, Jagielka is showing the form that he produced before the ACL injury in 2009/10 but I believe that Vermaelen is a better all round player; he scores more goals and starts for his country over better Centre backs than what England have at the moment, Jagielka has only really just broken into the starting XI for England

Vermaelen hasnt even been the best center half at Arsenal for a while now. Koscielny and Mertesacker are both boss.

Baines - is the best left back in the league.
Jagielka -is a fine center half, but not an elite one. There are lots of players at his level but few who are definitely better.
Coleman - Ah come on. Ivanovic, Walker, Johnson, Richards, Smalling, Jones, Sagna, Zabaleta. There's a probably a couple more as well. Against some opposition I'd prefer Hibbert to him.

Pienaar - Same as Jagielka.
Mirallas - Haven't seen enough to really say.

Jelavic - There's plenty of center forwards I'd take over him, I'm afraid. I don't like doing it but you asked for names, so RVP, Rooney, Hernandez, Ba, P.Cisse, Suarez, Aguero, Balotelli, Dzeko, Tevez, Adebayor, possibly Defoe?

Crack or glue?

He was injured quite a bit last season, Koscielny has been on the bench a lot this season (5 appearances this season) and Mertesacker has been far from 'boss' this season. That is only my opinion though, Arsenal wouldn't have paid €10m for him if he wasn't a great player

For me Fellaini should be in CM not ACM....totally runs the game from there. I think hes the best in the division now.

Coleman looks a top, top player and this season looks better than Walker...there, I said it :)

the way he drives us on from full back is sensational, but if hes got a hair out of place the hibbert beauts will be on saying he should be dropped, and we can go back to having no balance on the flanks anymore

I've not seen too many CBs play better than Jags this year. Baines is undoubtedly the league's best LB. Other than that I don't know.

There are better strikers than Jelavic and wingers/inside forwards with better end product than Kev.

Fellaini is awkward as his position is somewhat unique. He's basically playing the Cahill role, mixing it up front and in midfield, and there aren't too many who do that. And basically no one who does it like him. I'd rather have him in a number 8 role perhaps and someone like Mata, Hazard or Rooney in the number 10 role.

But being good on paper means little. We finished fourth with an awful team, and 8th with our supposed "best ever squad under Moyes".
