….William Hill Handicap Hurdle, that’s a very difficult race over 2m 4f. The 2nd race tomorrow is also William Hill Handicap cavalry charge over 3m.

If you have one in that, I suggest a fun bet could be a small stakes e/w double ;).

….Ike Sport 2nd 40-1, Solness 2nd 25-1, seconditis is my Aintree so far 🫣

All good fun, a couple races over the National fences today/tomorrow can turn things around, hopefully they all come home safe and sound.

As for the National, as an ante-post backer I have a few in my book. Two 33-1 shots;

I think it was 12 months ago I mentioned Lecky Watson for the race after he won for me at 100-1 at Festival. He’s run like a drain all season, I’m just hoping it’s because Mullins has been protecting his handicap mark but maybe he hasn’t. At least he’s got here.

Spanish Harlem is another I’ve backed long time ago, his owner sponsors the race and Rachel Blackmore husband rides him so there is a nice little story attached. If he gets over the first few I expect he’ll be prominent all the way around, not sure he’s good enough to win but I hope he gives me a run for my money.

Just on the news. 'Gold dancer' won and broke it's back somehow. They said it 'kin screamed and the jockey was raving for the screens and the euthanasia gun. Just after the line in front of a full grandstand. Grim does not do this one justice. How. Poor animal, and dreadful for the immediate spectators.
