….they are a terrific family. How many times do I say, ‘just back anything Peter Bowen runs at Aintree’. His runner in the bumper was unplaced @ 50-1, but 14-1 Mac Tottie and 40-1 Frankie du Berlais is a decent return on that race.

Remember me putting up Dineur @ 25-1 for the Foxhunters a few years ago trained by Mickey Bowen. They’ve done me so many favours over the years.

I know everyone hates to hear it but horse racing is a nasty, corrupt, sport in which both the horses and the gamblers are exploited. I’m not an activist but honestly just have a think before you bet tomorrow, it’s a grim spectacle.
