Going to Aintree on Thursday and Saturday. Thursday with the lads and Saturday with the missus, will be a lot more restrained on the betting on the Saturday, be arsed with her asking why I’m banging so much on a bet as she’s sticking £2 ew bets on.

…first time I haven’t been on Thursday for a very long time, following my detached retina in October I have a hospital appointment this afternoon.

i build books for Cheltenham and to a much lesser extent Aintree. Because the ante-post lists have only been out for a week or so, I look for a bit of value rather than ‘nap’. There are a few favourites that look good things but they are too short for me.

I mentioned Kemboy on here when it was 10-1 for the Bowl, I spoke with the owner who thought that price was too big. He didn’t say it was going to win, but I‘ve popped it in a few e/w doubles at 10-1. I wouldn’t particularly back him now at half that price.
