Not nearly as much as I thought, I think this seasons introduction of var killed a lot of the enjoyment watching football normally brought. Added to that I think there is a huge amount of greed involved in the modern game right now, I can't watch sky for more than two minutes without getting angry that some one or other, quite often former rs players, claiming the league HAS to finish when in reality it's way way down on the list of things that has to happen in the world at the moment.

Even fallen out of love with playing Sunday league a bit this season, the results becoming the most important aspect of it to most when quite frankly at that level it shouldn't, and the social aspect of it steadily decreasing all the time, just train, play, train, play. We were in a great position to get promoted with five games to play. A suggestion being made now is run the five games off quick and then straight into the new season. A laughable suggestion to me anyway as my focus will definitely be on going to visit family and friends when this lockdown is over not Sunday league football.

Delighted to have gotten in two brilliant trips to Liverpool before this all happened, one a great couple days with mates the other with family, that's the side of it I do miss, even though both games resulted in heartbreak, Everton that.

Really looking to watching the blues again and all the emotion that goes with it but surely it's got to be in the presence of supporters and when it's properly safe to do so, we're not in that much of a rush, or are they ?

I want footy back. I'm not arsed about them lot and their title. Sick of all the negativity and seeing Boris on me telly. Sooner it comes back the better.
A guy called Eric Carr called it...

Football won't be safe to play again until its safe to watch.

Is it safe to sit shoulder to shoulder, front and back at the moment?
No.

Come back when it is,

Well, I miss the pre and post match pints, I miss the chants and banter, I miss the travelling to away matches and I miss the comradery. The actual football? Much less so I'm afraid. Certainly don't miss the corruption of the FA's, Uefa, Fifa. Same goes for the media and their complete biased love for the money driven elite clubs. I even don't miss the VAR!
Completely agree. The whole football ‘industry’ stinks these days, ruined by the media and controlling authorities for the sake of ensuring a continuous cash flow for the elite. The whole ‘footballers wages‘ scenario manipulated by Saint Hendo stunk of how detached from ‘normal’ society the players, pundits and the media are. I love Everton, but I’ve been slowly losing faith in football as we have been gradually downgraded in the media’s eyes - when it was a ‘big four’ we were consistently 4th/5th, with a ‘big six’ we are 7th/8th - it just never seems to happen for us.

So I sincerely hope that this break opens up more people’s eyes to the massively negative impact of the media circus on the game itself. I suspect this time next year everything may be back to ‘normal’ though.

When it comes to people's health and the possibility of people actually dying such as my friends mum did a couple of days ago in a care home with him not even being able to be with her when she passed i honestly couldn't give a toss about footy or any other sport. They are currently unimportant and wont become relevant again to me until the risk is completely gone and people are safe whenever that is.

I worry about my mum every single hour of every single day and am trying to keep her isolated and virus free as she was identified as one of the very high risk people and the last thing i need on top of this very worrying period of time is being tortured and wounded every week by that bunch of overpaid and under performing cry babies.

Footy can just K'off for the foreseeable future.

Dude went off on me how everyone gave their blood sweat and tears to this club and I insulted them and on and on. How he followed them his whole life and couldn't do with out them

Now he's indifferent football is gone.

How things change in a couple of weeks when this guy was just talking about years of pain and suffering over a football team.

Kopite.
I went off at you because you showed a basic lack of understanding as to what football meant to most of the people on here who have and do put a lot of their lives into supporting this club and you said many disrespectful and quite embarrassing things to them. You clearly still do and are.

Also if you’re going to call someone a kopite don’t have a post written in black and white on this very forum stating that you now support Liverpool.

Aye I can’t disagree with that to be honest I think the occasion of actually going to the match (and the beer) is better than the 90 minutes we sit and watch nowadays. It will be interesting to see if anything changes once this is all as over as it can be.

I don't even care if it's behind closed doors, as long as it's safe and they find a way to televise them. That's how desperate I am. Are people not capable of finding some level of enjoyment while also being mindful and respectful of those who have died? It doesn't seem like it at the moment.
