QPR taking huge risks. Signing like crazy...but who wouldnt in their situation...money doesn't seem to be a problem

Not really, i just find the faux outrage at a player choosing an employer based on the wages on offer a bit laughable.
And its not just that with Hoilett either, seems that for every player who is vaguely linked with us, when they sign for someone else there's a bookfull of criticisms and abuse that get aimed at the player and the team.
I know we all think Everton are great (mostly) but most players don't.
Edit: and what Sheedy said ^^^^^^^
The lid is all about the money.
I think that's probably a bit unfair, obviously money is a massive influence (probably too much of a factor if I'm honest) but he gets to live in one of the best cities in the world & another couple of years in the Prem with a club that's clearly ambitious this season with players that are better than surrounded him at Blackburn so if he does well he may be able to pick his own club in the future. QPR since January have brought in green, Cisse, Hoillett , park, fabio (on loan) , Zamora , AJ , onuoha & Nelson so they might not be earth shattering signings but the squad is significantly stronger . Hughes has his faults but a lot of players who play for him seem keen on doing so again , so he must be doing one thing right and although last year was disappointing for them Hughes is never a 'short-term' manager more someone that takes time to develop his 'ideals'. I think we can probably expect qpr to have a better season than last year.

I didn't really think about living in London, and if that was a big factor in the move then fair enough. But I don't agree that QPR are ambitious, I think they're suicidal. They're giving massive wages to a lot of average players and ignoring the past mistakes of many former PL clubs in doing so.
I didn't expect him to come here either, I just think it reflects poorly on him that he chose QPR over Monchengladbach. Normally I am one of the few who rejects the mercenary label and understands that this is a career to these people, not a hobby, but he's still basically a kid. He's got his whole career ahead of him, so choosing cash over CL football seems odd.
The difference being, how many of those other players in Sheedy's post had offers on the table to a Champions League club? Not to forget a Champions League club in a good league, with a manager who has a history of developing young talent e.g Dzemali, Inler, etc.

I do take your point but even disregarding money moving to Germany would be a big step for anyone (I know he isn't English but he is English speaking ) and despite the fact that the bundesliga is highly rated for many people the premier league is still the place to be.
I'm not sure what to make of QPR's financial strategy as I know the details of the Barton deal and frankly it's crazy, but the guy backing them is clearly very wealthy so I'm not sure it's suicidal but it runs the risk of being over ambitious . However I think they'll be comfortable this season, I could be wrong obviously

Well the PL might be the place to be, but surely that's not a good enough selling point when you can play in another of the top 3 European leagues but for a team that placed in the top 4 rather than the bottom 4. It has to be the money and well yeah, that's his choice, I just don't agree with it.
I envy them in a way QPR, being able to spend recklessly, but I stand by what I said. I think it'll all end it tears eventually.
I don't massively disagree with you mate to be honest , I'm probably just one notch down from you on most of your points
