I didn't ever think he was a world beater or anything, but I didn't think he was bad either

I genuinely do wish him well. He seemed to try when he came on the pitch and didn't appear to be someone just after a pay cheque

I think he knew his role and was happy just to perform it

Shocked at this. Think I saw him play twice for us ( Reading and Norwich) and thought he just looked OK, could have easily played at a lower level
