He nearly scored in his debut funnily enough. Does anyone remember that? He burst into the box and only Stewart Pearce, chopping him in half and conceeding a penalty, stopped him.

Away to West Ham if I remember correctly.

That's correct, 2-0 win at the Boleyn.

Testimonials are not about your level of skill, they're about your service to the club. Let's not turn the thread into a debate about whether he's good enough or not please.

Is it really loyalty and good service when you wouldn't get a game for anyone else in the whole world?

AEK Athens are currently talking to Patrick Kluivert over their vacant manager position. He could be in charge by the time this testimonial comes around.

I'll never forget his handball v the ****e in the UEFA Cup semi-final v Barcelona. He needs some stick for that.

There have been quite a few negative comments in this thread about Hibbo getting a testimonial. Yes it is tradition in football for a player that has been at a Club over ten years to have one of these games, and they take the gate receipts. However since the dramatic increase in players wages they tend to donate all proceeds to charity and I will be travelling to Goodison for this game to say thank you to a servant of our great Club and also feel good that the money I pay will either go to the Everton Former Players Foundation or to another well deserving charity as we all know that Hibbo will donate the gate receipts. Prepare to riot!

Tickets on sale today, Decided to sit in the Park End, not been there since the day The rumours was flying around of Duncan Ferguson was sold to Newcastle, i think we was playing Newcastle and beat them 1-0 (i think)
