I presume the death of the Queen will somehow be a failure of corporate governance by the Everton board and executive. Everything else is.

I dont think it will be anything like that mate. There is huge respect and admiration for her, and once she goes, I think most would prefer to raise a glass to her service, and move on from that.

Everyone other than the BBC, who I guarantee would have filled their airways and TV schedules with nothing but this, which as you say, is a famous person dying of old age.

Eh I was reading about it and there seems to be a lot to it. Maybe in 2022 it isn't that though.

Back in the 70s, a woman I worked with had saved all year to go on her first holiday to Spain. The day before she flew out Franco died.
A state of mourning was declared and ALL public entertainment was banned. No music, no bars, no nothing.
Even the telly just had pictures of him lying in state. She was stuck there for a fortnight despite trying to get early flights back home.

Eh I was reading about it and there seems to be a lot to it. Maybe in 2022 it isn't that though.

Oh it will be all over the press mate. But their excitement isnt shared by the vast majority of folk. With Diana, it was sudden, out of the blue, at a different time for the Monarchy, and she was 60 years younger. So folk were genuinely shocked, and saddened by her passing.
