Sainsburys closed Monday. I guess they all will.

Public opinion isn't going to plan for them. Lots of people exasperated by this 10 day mourning. Powers that be ensuring Odeon cinemas and supermarkets closed on the Monday in case you might just want a normal day away from all the madness.

Its been 70 yrs so this is all new to the admin people, the play book probably hadn't been updated since well before the war...and nobody wants to risk offending the easily outraged...most of the country, or so it seems.

Here in Australia the public holiday is, for some reason, on a Thursday ffs

It's hard to be sure on these matters. Zeman has been dead for years and is still wheeled out for public appearances. That they make him do drunken rambles from beyond the grave is quite impressive when you think about it. It's a modern-day Spejbl and Hurvínek.
