I don’t really get this “ Iwas proud to serve my Queen” stuff…. Most people I know who signed up done it for the money or job security…. Not one of them at 16/17/18 years of age once said “I want to serve my Queen”. Now I’m not knocking anyone who’s been in the forces but let’s not pretend it was borne out of any sense of duty to the monarchy.
But once inside the armed forces, a constant pro-royal agenda is applied. It more than likely unifies and bonds the troops to make them a more effective fighting force.

Plus you get rabid pro-establishment types generated. Win-win for the status quo.

Brainwashing….. the same system which churns out Tory bootlickers by the dozens

Wonder what the discussion was like between the family after that lad called the nonce out. To be a fly on the wall........

How did people ever mourn before the age of the BBC ?
Without constant banal commentary for a start

To be fair, the freeview channel RB1 carried live pictures of the events yesterday with no commentary and it was almost like being there, which is the proper function of a national broadcaster I'd have thought.

Not every ex-forces person likes the Monarchy to be fair.

Enforced mourning. Give everyone the day off, but close all shops and attractions etc so people can't do anything.

I hope its dry so I can get on with laying my patio.

You don’t get charged for breaching the peace you get bound over to attend court. Lazy journalism jumping on the bandwagon.
You only normally get bound over to attend court if you have breached the peace numerous times before or there is a likely hood you will continue to breach the peace.

In this case it will be the latter. Police want these people to attend court so bail conditions can then be imposed on them. Conditions will obviously be not to be near any events around this funeral.

Easier for them to be lifted by the police then before they can even hold a piece of cardboard in the air.

Didn't have monarch dying in our bingo for next GOT headache.

Hey, Daniel.

I just wanted to reach out and give an update on the state of the UK ad market in light of the queens passing.

Some of you may have seen some lower CPM’s coming from the UK market over the weekend, this is a direct result of advertisers pulling or pausing campaigns in respect and mourning.

At first glance, it looks like the default action from advertisers was to pull all advertising and then re-evaluate this week.

We’ve seen direct campaigns turning back on this morning and there's some evidence that programmatic CPM’s are starting to rise off the bottom.

We apologise for the disruption to ad revenue but unfortunately these are decisions taken by brands and agencies and usually with an abundance of caution.

Whilst we don’t have an exact date in which we anticipate CPM’s to return to their expected level we would expect them to be near normal around the middle of next week. Please expect similar levels to this weekend on Monday 19th September - the date of the Queen’s funeral.
