He was a kid then. He's since played in a World Cup in South Africa with no problems.

In fact, it's partly due to his desire to overcome these problems that he's determined not to take the safe option and stay in Spain, as he feels a move to England will make him a stronger player.

I honestly think this rumour is completely untrue. Whilst I believe that the guy may be moving to Liverpool(where they could even come close to matching his wages), I think the part where they've also agreed a deal with us which involves Arteta going the other way is nonsense. arteta seemed very happy with being our captain and talking to evertontv just the other day about how important next season would be. I think that this rumour has been made up knowing full well every one on here would expect the guy to choose liverpool over us meaning no one could criticise the guy if he went to liverpool. So yes there may be someone who told him that Navas is negotiating with Liverpool, but the whole everton part....nonsense.
