Transfer Rumour Hayden Hackney

But you don't rate the Championship, so surely him showing up this highly against the PL, La Liga, Bundesliga etc. should be a good sign, right?

Yeah, whatever you say mate. All hail the Redcar Xavi - the next last piece of the jigsaw to sit on the bench.

Well it’s not “whatever I say”, is it? I’ve not said anything - I’m merely pointing out data that suggests he’s very good for his age across Europe.

I know you’ve gone super early on the “he’s crap” train but you can’t get off it now so sit there and let it all unfold you tiny child.

Where have you got this data from? Some random table tweeted by a callow youth who knows f.a. about football but wants to 'prove' Hackney is a massive upgrade on what we have.

Ah that’s right, it can’t possibly be correct data because Dave says it can’t be.

Like genuinely what is wrong with you? If you tell us it might help us communicate with you in future.

Consistency is something you develop. In any case: he didn't just perform in one game.

What was the win rate of the rest of the team....? You seem to have omitted that...

Loving this: you think Gueye was a massive success at PSG?

He was seen as a failure: unable to do anything much in possession of the ball and ill-disciplined.

Amazing the elevation of Gueye here.

He was a destoyer for us in a couple of key seasons when we were fighting relegation. And when he did that he was in his early 30s with bags of experience, not a 22 year old like Iroegbunam.
Yeah 111 appearances over 3 seasons, what a failure 🙄

It’s so cringe when you make stuff up as though it’s fact.

Send me a postcard from fantasy land before you leave for home.

Villa got relegated with Gueye playing. We’ve been in relegation battles from the moment he arrived. PSG did nothing in the CL with him in the team.

Maybe his stats for getting the ball back wouldn’t be so good if he didn’t keep losing it so often.

The day the club, and some of its fans, move away from cleaving to these utter failures like Keane Gueye McNeil is the day we might finally get back to moving forward.

Gueye was finished the day Coutinho waltzed round him at Anfield like he wasn’t even there. That was 8 years ago. See his first half of the Anfield derby this season.

If ‘peak Gueye’ is the bar for our PL midfielders then it’s an extremely low bar. I put his signing for PSG alongside Gravesen ending up at Real Madrid, Chupo Moting playing for Bayern and PSG, and Juliet Faubert going from stinking out West Ham to Real Madrid.

He was ‘finished’ yet still won our player of the year award last season.

I forgot that you know much better than the fanbase though. Wanting to keep Benitez and Dyche when everyone else wanted them gone etc.

Mate, you're seriously hitting the low bar now.

if your looking at stats then look at when Gueye is in the team to him not being in the team, we are far better when he plays.

its michael Keane the man why we are always down there

I felt embarrassed for him at PSG.

No doubt he put a shift in here in our dark days, but this season he looks like he should be in the veteran 5-a-side circuit.

No top team in the PL starts a 36 year old in midfield every game. He’ll be 37 next season. There’s a reason for that.

He’s had good games for us for sure but also plenty of terrible ones. Some fans revere him though and get angry when you suggest the team might be better if we moved on from him. He’s finished in the next year or two (at best) no matter how much some people like him, time isnt going to wait. We need to be moving on from him now and should have really done it last summer. Would we be worse off than 13th if Rohl Alcaraz Iroegbunam or Armstrong had the minutes Gueye has had? I don’t think so.
