The problem for us mate is that rotation means playing 2nd string players, and if it doesn't come off as it didn't in various Cup games over the years, Moyes gets it in the neck for fielding a weakened side and not taking the cups seriously enough. Hence he has fielded much stronger teams in the cups in the last few years but that usually means playing the same players. We just don't have the squad to 'rotate' in the proper way.

We get stuffed out of cups by lower league teams regardless of what kind of team we put out, full strength, 1 or 2 changes or half strength.

Of course we have the squad to rotate but thats never been Moyes style. Maybe we don't have the best options but they're still options and the very same players who have to come in anyway if first choices get injured or suspended.

We could "rotate" easily, hell we hardly ever get to field a full strength team anyway so are used to having to make do.

Nearly sure we got to the semi-final last year and the final 3 years ago because he didn't put out 2nd string teams (or rotate as you want to call it).

Rotating for me is substituting like for like and we don't have the squad to do that.

We haven't even got that bad of a squad tbh.
Some really promising youngsters and great older players.
 
Does anybody seriously believe that 'The Panel' even consider rescinding 2 red cards! What sort of message would that be sending to Anthony Taylor. Wouldn't put it past them to rescind Cole's card only. It's the sort of twisted decision they are so adept at making.

he's a better option than neville though. Osman, Gibson, fellaini, barkley junior and hitz are enough options for me, neville shouldn't be close. could be argued hitz won't be necessary if we bring in ofoe, but i'd rather have him there as backup over neville - he can be our 2nd/3rd choice RB if moyes feels it's necessary to have him around the squad
