Have we appealed

The referee will come out of this backed by the FA, who will say it was the correct decision. Now if it was United, City or the ****e instead of Everton and West Ham it would be a different story.

They will compound the problem by not overturning it so that they will be seen as backing referees even though they know that they should.

Come on FA, season of goodwill and all that. Hopefully the panel will have had a few in the pub before they meet up.

It is things exactly like this where the FA gets its bad reputation from. If the ref came out today and admitted his mistake, he would gain respect from most (everyone makes mistakes after all) and the whole thing would be done and dusted. As it is, however, the FA will back their own and Gibson will be banned for the rest of the season for his appeal getting in the way of the FA christmas party or something.

Well good news then really, if it isn't overturned then he will only miss 2 games, Fellaini will be back after the Chelsea game.
Here's hoping it does, because Chelsea's going to be even trickier if Fellaini and Gibson are both suspended.
(Also hoping that we get at least Coleman back for the weekend.)
