Have Everton ever reduced you to tears?

Never cried at last year's semi because I just knew it would happen. We're Everton for chrissakes, we don't do 'expectations'. I know my dad shed a few manly tears though.

2009 FA Cup semi-final was very emotional and I could feel 'em coming; managed to keep them bottled up though. Dan Gosling's goal against the ****e also very nearly brought me into them, first time that I had seen Goodison go that wild. (I'm a younger supporter, Moyes is all I've known.)

Coventry in 97, the combo punch of Judas Barmby missing the pen to put us 2-0 up then Dublin equalising had the tears welling up until Vialli sealed it for Chelsea v Bolton

Fiorentina in 08, for the boys to play that well and go out on pens was gutwrenching, the 6 pints I downed at my local's lock-in eased the pain somewhat

United in 09, not so much at the time as I was pretty much bladdered with it being my birthday but everytime I've watched it since I've welled up when Jags buries the winning pen

I had an absolute hissy fit and full on period when Norwich put 5 past us at Goodison in 1993, can also remember crying over the 1989 cup final and being tearful after Coventry in 1997. But I was a kid for all those.

As an adult Villarreal was the worst for me, then the 2009 cup final. Felt worse over the Semi last year but didn't cry.

That was an absolute sucker punch that one.

I was fighting tears after the 09 final.
I was just unbelievably angry after we bottled in the semi against the RS later year, too angry to consider crying.
The Wigan 1/4 final this season was crushingly upsetting, IMO it was worse than getting beat by the sh*te last season.

I really could help myself with the Fiorentina game though, we truly deserved to go through that match only their keeper ascended to a higher form of human on the night and won that game for them.

last time I cried was when jags smashed the pen in to take us to the final was with my brother in the pub both in tears as you just knew once timmy missed the first pen it was all over but then BAM we did it

Everton haven't (yet) but Michael Bradley's 82nd minute goal against Slovenia in the 2010 World Cup did. And then so did Landon Donovan's stoppage time goal against Algeria in the same tournament.

Ups & downs like any fan winning 2-0 at Anfield with ten minutes to go standing in my blue attire in the 1970's as a young lad and seeing us get beat 3-2 a goal in the last minute.
