OK, so here's some more to chew on.

From L'Equipe:

Bagarre Ben Arfa - Squillaci:

[Trans: At the end of a training session, Ben Arfa insulted Squillaci. In the locker room, Squillaci asked him to repeated what he said. Ben Arfa insulted him again, and the two came to blows. They had to be separated by teammates.]

From Football.FR

Ben Arfa: 'Deschamps, tu me casses les couilles"

And there's plenty more where that came from.
No salt needed.

And don't forget to swallow....

Don't know if it's been mentioned before, I'm a OM fan and this boy has loads of talent but he's a selfish player and he has to learn to pass the ball, I know it sounds simple but I've been watching a lot of his games and he has great skills, he just needs to lay it off faster... + he's got bad attitude, that's why Lyon were so keen on selling him, I think L'OM paid too much for him certainly... if you can get his head straight and you can learn him how to pass the ball it'll be an incredible player...like Nasri but with the physical attributes....

only problem is...Everton can't afford him...

Frankly, he just seems a little young and immature. Hopefully, that's something he can grow out of...

More worrying is the "selfish player" description above. The team has a great chemistry working right now. You wouldn't want to mess that up...

Just saw this on IM Scouting. Don't know if it's accurate or not, but if so, it seems to rule Ben Arfa out....

"Widespread reports in France this morning claim Marseille have rejected a bid from Everton for winger Hatem Ben Arfa .

Everton are understood to have proposed a loan deal for six months with a view to a permanent move for the French international.

Ben Arfa had been tipped to leave Marseille in the January transfer window after a falling out with coach Didier Deschamps. Olympiakos had a bid rejected for Ben Arfa and Manchester United were also linked with the 22-year-old.

However, he appears to have turned his fortunes around with an impressive performance against Auxerre before the winter beak and he also scored in the Coupe de France win over Trelissac on Sunday."

Actually, on further inspection, that looks like old news. Perhaps he is still in play....

heard a rumour that we're now definately interested in him now, i know i'm only knew but just postin incase lcab or source can hint? or anyone else for that matter!

Pigs fly. We'd need to sell before we could afford him, and for the cash I think i'd rather get Donovan in to fit the team ethic (and he'd be cheaper).

I know he's troublemaker, but if there would be any chance to get him, I would gladly take a risk - he still has a potential to be World Class player and IMHO Premier League would suit him very nicely. Like Donovan, but Ben Arfa has skills and potential to be so much better. Still, he was good enough in the 2nd part of Ligue 1 season for Marseille to probably keep him.

My girlfriend is back home in France right now, and it's been reported there that he's very interested in signing for us. The problem is we want to loan him, and they want to sell him.
