Has Fellaini really got a £22m buyout clause in his contract ?

Honestly, all of this 'Chelsea don't count as a CL team' is utter crap. The fact they've been knocked out doesn't mean they're not a Champions League team, they're the current champions and haven't missed out on qualification in years. I'm sure if there is a clause driven by European qualification it is a little more fleshed out than just:

'Have to be in der knockout stages of der Champions Leeeg'

In my opinion it would have to be geared around allowing letting him leave to play CL football. So that means anyone still in it in January can trigger it or anyone who qualifies in the summer.
I agree that Chelsea are a CL club and probably will be for years to come but they are not in it now and don't have a god given right to be in it again unless they qualify. I think it is right that if true they cannot trigger the clause.

Just watching the build up to QPR Vs. Spurs and it was showing you clips of Taarabt and all the classy touches, his skills, goals and it was also showing you how he puts a shift in now and tracks back, chases down players and works hard for the team and it got me thinking about him as a replacement for Fellaini IF he was to leave in the summer?!.

Thoughts anyone?.

Me personally i think he'd be a great signing and give us something different to what Felli does, and im sure he would be cheaper both fee and wages wise aswell. Ive liked him for a while and watched him alot ever since he went to QPR and his skill is undoubted and the things he can do with a ball are brilliant but he can score goals, create things and now he's added hard graft to his game and seems to of matured and not be so stroppy and i think he would be quality in the No. 10 role for us, like i say, IF Fellaini was to leave.

I bet he'd only cost between 10 & 15 mill at tops if QPR were to go down, with a wage of about 50+ grand a week. Could be worth looking at IMO.

Why?. You talking about the price and wages?. If QPR go down i dont think they'll get more than £15m for him, and im not so sure he would demand big wages either. Thing is, alot of good clubs would be in for him though and probably blow us out of the water but i think he'd be the perfect replacement for Felli, like i say, IF he did go?!.

He the classic "not a moyes player".

He's creative, talented, quick thinking and all about going forward and scoring goals.

But he thinks he's great and doesn't run 10k a match so for that no chance.

If they go down they have no right to choose a price, the wages will be no where near what you have suggested, I doubt he would be interested a move up north, strikes me as a bit of a mercenary.

We missed Fellaini today, shamed he signed for Chelsea, did he score any of there 4 goals?
