Wife and I sat through the whole interview on TV last night.
My thoughts for what it's worth, it's extremely hard to have empathy for a couple who are now sitting on a financial goldmine (Netflix, Spotify deals, including the boost that brand Meghan/Harry would have received from this interview) and yet they spent a good portion of the interview playing the victim card because they were financially cut off by their family (not sure what they expected - it was their choice to leave royal duties? If I leave my job, I certainly don't expect to continue collecting a paycheque).
All this quibbling about security - surely they've heard of such a thing as private security, you know, the type that I'm sure their best pal Oprah and other celebrities employ for themselves and their children?
And the "racism" thing..... to me it's entirely about context. A flippant "Ooh, I wonder how dark his skin color might be" doesn't scream racism - I could picture any number of people of a certain generation saying something like that, no different to "what color will his eyes be, or will he have ginger hair". If the comment was "I hope he doesn't have dark skin" then, well, yeah. Completely racist. Harry's father is on record as saying he wants to limit the number of people in the Royal Family when/if he is King, so it stands to reason that there could be a review on titles and who is granted them. This has nothing to do with race, which is clearly insinuated by Meghan as the reason why their son hasn't been made a Prince.
On a humanist level I feel sorry for Meghan's clear mental health struggles, she's obviously been through a lot and I hope she finds her peace. But that doesn't change my opinion after watching that interview that she and her husband are a pair of utter spoilt brats, completely disconnected with the real world, no more or no less than his family back in London.
Oh, and the comment about not researching/googling her famous date before she went out with him is clearly utter hogwash.
