2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

Preston have been in freefall since he left them ....
OMG Who let you back in here 🫣

Sorry Preston fans, but I don't care how your season has derailed since Armstrong came back..

I care about Armstrong, because he is one of our own..

I don't know, Just like nobody else does what has suddenly gone on behind the scenes..

Being the lad Armstrong is I can't see it being a butting head issue over playing time. But who knows, the club has become so quiet around everything this year..

He's still a kid with plenty of time ahead of him, He's had plenty of minutes at 2 different clubs this season.
A good pre-season and who knows, he could be rocking the show next season..

DM needs sending to PNE for his retirement ...

Anywhere will do imo
Funny enough I was more of a Moyes out person in his first term in charge. The knife to a gunfight talk irked me no end. Considering the managers we've had since he left for Utd, it's a big risk. Hard to find a manager when our recruitment is just made up nonsense..... We spent a lot of money last 2 summers on Rohl, Dibling, Barry and had no intention of ever playing them. No right back trusted giving Seamus injury and Patterson laziness. Shambles

You just keep talking your usual line - DM has stabilised us now we need someone like the Bournemouth manager to take us further....players like HA are our future not DM !
I think we both keep talking the same line Joey, the difference is I look at both sides, you only look at one..

There is plenty of things that frustrate me about Moyes, but I don't get blinded just by hatred..

DM has consolidated us job done- my point is we now need a younger manager like the guy at Bournemouth to take us on further another season of DM expect the same position next season - our present squad is & would be under a lot of strain if we qualified for any European competitions next season - no hatred - I just think he has achieved the most we could expect this season ...

…..ah, totally changing the subject. Presume you agree that Moyes doesn’t only play those around 30yo ;), just try and remember it rather than continually posting it.

I don’t mind the ‘up and under’, it’s innovative. It can put the opposition on the back foot, especially with a combative striker like Beto.
It not worked once ......it just embarrassing to see us do it .....

…ha, ha, I think it’s more designed to put the opposition on the back foot rather than score a goal. It’s a bit like saying the conventional pass the kick off backwards and then launch it out wide doesn’t work ;). You don’t complain about that because it’s conventional.

Innovation from set pieces is good, encourage it. You never know, the long-throw might come back into fashion.

Anyway, this is the Armstrong thread and we shouldn’t hijack it. Not sure if you watched the very good Michael Keane podcast, he said Ancelotti was the best at keeping fringe players involved, something I picked up on and made me think.
